Oh, this has the potential to be a brilliant character study. Larry isn't the type who would ever rat out his peers in order to make a plea bargain, and even if Freddy sacrificed his career-life-family-etc in order to break him out and escape to Mexico, I can't see Larry ever really, truly being able to trust him ever again. Freddy would know this deep inside, and it would weigh on him every day that they were together.

God, in the right author's hands, this could be golden. And by "golden", I mean absolutely soul-rending.
