Pre-heist: author's choice regarding how memory-loss occurs.

Both men wake up one morning to the frightening realization that they can't remember who they are. No names, no obligations... nothing. All they know is that they're both unnaturally good with a gun, and that they must have been lovers before the "accident". Because the attraction they feel is immediate, and desperate, and inexplicable.

Guh. I love this! Both of them waking up and pulling their guns on each other. Literally and metaphorically perhaps. :)

This has the potential to be so hot (like the above commenter said: guns, both literal and metaphorical, are never a bad thing)... and SO SAD. What happens if Freddy starts to regain some of his memories first? He might remember that he's undercover, but he might not recall whether or not Larry knows. Imagine the fear and guilt and paranoia.
